This weapon was the smallest of the Ingram submachinegun family, being chambered for the .380 ACP or 9mm Short round (9x17mm). The weapon was easily small enough to be carried in a hip holster. The shorter 16 round magazine was intended for concealed carry as it barely extended out past the bottom of the pistol grip. In part because of the small length of the bolt travel on this weapon, it had the highest cyclic rate of fire of all on the Ingram family of compact submachineguns.
