This round was only chambered in the M1911, M1912, and M1912/P1 weapons. As such, it was only seen in Austro-Hungarian military, as well as Rumania and Chile who purchased quantities of the M11912 Steyr pistols. The long round can be mistaken for other rounds of ammunition of the same general length, but the original Steyr loads were with a cupro-nickle jacketed bullet of a silver color.
