SERVICE – International commercial sales, previously restricted to Soviet Olympic shooters

The Olympic Free Pistol class of weapons are among the most accurate pistols made. The Soviet-era TOZ-35 has held Olympic records that have stood for decades. It is still widely used in competition shooting as sales have been released from the former Soviet Union. Overall weight can range from 1.1 kg to 1.4 kg depending on the size and construction of the grips. Overall length can vary slightly as well. Trigger pull is adjustable and can be set by the operator ranging from 10 to 100 grams (0.35 oz to 3.53 oz). The trigger must be set for each shot by pressing down on a small cocking lever on the left side of the weapon, just above the trigger itself. All aspects of the weapon that can be adjustable are made so. The trigger itself is fully adjustable for length, angle, and tilt to satisfy the operator. The action itself is a rear-hinged Martini-style dropping block operated by a lever at the bottom front of the grip. The inherent accuracy of the weapon is often much greater than the shooter can take advantage of. Accuracy for acceptance by the factory is an average of 17.5mm (0.69 in) widest spread for five test groups of 10 shots each, all fired at a range of 50 meters (54.68 yards). The TOZ-35 is a standard that a shooter can train up to reach.
