This is a very thin-bodied – 0.3 mm (0.011 in) steel casing blast grenade originally developed in 1915 and used to a great extent in World War II. The fuze of the grenade was updated in 1935 as well as the original explosive filler (Cheddite) being changed to the more powerful TNT.
