This is almost exactly the same weapon as the MP5/10A3 except for being chambered for the .40 Smith & Wesson round rather than the 10mm Automatic.
There are also A5 versions of these weapons with two or three-round controlled burst trigger packs. The bolt catch of the MP5/10 and MP5/40 weapons prevents the sliding stock from being exchanged with the MP5. The same holds true for the trigger packs. The MP5 may use stocks and trigger groups from the MP5/10 or 40 series, but the reverse is not true.
