     This was the same design of suppressor intended for the M3 submachinegun, mounted on the M3A1. No modifications of the suppressor assembly were required for it to be used on the M3A1. Some further manufacture of the suppressor was made on the M3A1 barrel assembly with the wrench flats but they have no effect on the suppressor. The M3A1 suppressed was one of the first suppressed weapons used by the Navy SEALs as well as being used by the US Army’s Delta Force.
