This is a factory-produced version of the VOG-17 Improvized Fragmentation Grenade. Produced in Bulgaria, this is the standard projectile-only grenade launched by the AGS-17 family of launchers. In this version of the grenade, the rotating band has been turned off as being superfluous in a hand-thrown weapon. The interior of the grenade is lined with a square cross-sectioned wire coil with segmentation notches. This wire coil gives the grenade over 500 fragments when detonated. The early version of this grenade was fitted with the UZRG-M fuze
